Game of Thrones Season 6 Spoilers: What’s Next for Dany?

When we last saw Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) on Game of Thrones Season 5 finale, she found herself right back where she started: Alone and surrounded by Dothraki. With Meereen now in her past and Westeros still a distant dream, what in seven hells can we expect from Dany next season?

Thankfully, Emilia dropped a few clues about Dany’s future in a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times.

For one thing, Emilia says Dany has definitely learned from the mistakes she made as Queen of Meereen, so look for that knowledge to keep her out of trouble now that she’s with the Dothraki again.
“I think that she’s definitely on the upwards trajectory of truly learning from the mistakes that she’s made as a ruler,” Emilia says, adding, “It’s a matter of her trusting herself and being confident in the decisions that she’s about to make. And being confident enough to stand next to those decisions and take full responsibility for them.”

It sounds like the biggest challenge for Dany next season, or at least for Emilia, is having to learn to speak Dothraki once again after having a couple seasons off. “It’s weird,” she says of relearning the harsh language. “I don’t know whether it’s a psychological thing because I’m a weird actor, but I found it so much easier doing Valyrian than I did learning Dothraki, which is weird because Daenerys’ mother tongue is Valyrian. So I don’t know if that’s my psycho head or not. But yeah Dothraki is not my forte. Weirdest sentence ever.”

So if Dany’s speaking Dothraki next season, it sounds like she’ll be hanging out with her new friends for a little while at least. Will she lead a Dothraki army back to Meereen and straighten her city out? Will she say screw Meereen and take them straight to Westeros? Or will she simply become their prisoner? With all she’s learned, we seriously doubt it’s the latter, so we fully expect big things from Dany next season. Time to bust out those dusty Targaryen banners, smallfolk!

Game of Thrones Season 6 Spoilers: “Mental” and “Epic”

Game of Thrones Season 6 is still, oh, about nine months or so away from airing, but that doesn’t mean we can’t begin to speculate about how crazy it’s going to be. And one person who’s fanning the speculation flames is Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) in the show, who recently dished that the pace of the show is going to change a bit.

“It’s really exciting,” Emilia reveals about Season 6 in an interview with the Los Angeles Times. “There’s a lot of season where you need to (rightly so) kind of need to set the scene. And you have a couple of episodes where you’re like, ‘OK, feeding information, I get it. We’re finding out about this person. And we know about that person. And oh, there’s that person.’ But this season coming up, that we’re about to film, there’s none of that. It’s just go, go, go, go. Shocking moment to shocking moment. Epic moment to epic moment. It’s mental; it’s epic.”

Oof. We’re not sure we’ll be able to handle so much excitement; we’re still reeling from the death-fest that was the Season 5 finale. Will everyone die next season? Will Jon Snow (Kit Harington) come back to life, as Emilia has hinted at before? Will Dany finally make it to Westeros? With so much potential for epicness, Season 6 needs to hurry up and get here!

This New “Game Of Thrones” Filming Location Could Confirm A Huge Fan Theory

If there’s one thing we know about Game of Thrones fans, it’s that they like to speculate.

And for the next nine months the thing they’ll most likely be speculating about is how Jon Snow can be brought back from the dead. But nine months is a long time, so allow us to give you something else to think about…

Earlier this week HBO announced some new filming locations for Season 6. One of which was Castillo de Zafra in Guadalajara, Spain.

The 12th-century castle was built on top of a rocky outcrop on a hillside. And as you can see from this picture, there seems to be very little surrounding it

To many people who have read the books, there is one Westerosi location that this looks like above all others: the Tower of Joy.

For those who haven’t read the books, the Tower of Joy was the place where Eddard Stark found his sister Lyanna in a bed of blood, at which point Ned made Lyanna a promise moments before she died.

The theory – commonly known as R+L=J – says that the blood was the result of childbirth, and that the child in question was fathered by Prince Rhaegar Targaryen. Knowing that any child of a Targaryen would be slaughtered by Robert Baratheon, Ned promised Lyanna that he would raise them as his own, telling everyone (including his wife) that the child was his bastard. If you hadn’t worked it out by now, that child was Jon Snow. Half Stark, half Targaryen, Jon Snow is literally the song of ice and fire, or so the theory goes. You can read more about this theory here.

Which could mean, if we’re very lucky, that R+L=J will be confirmed at some point during Season 6.

There are those who claim this castle could be Casterly Rock, although the fact that this location is miles from the coastline seems to dispute this. So what other evidence is there that we could see flashbacks to the Tower of Joy during Season 6?

Game of Thrones’ Melisandre doesn’t think Jon Snow is dead

If you’re one of the fans who is somewhat unconvinced by the death of Jon Snow (Kit Harington) in Game of Thrones’ series five finale, then you’re in good company – a certain Red Priestess thinks he’ll be up and fighting again too.

“No, he can’t be dead. No!” Melisandre actress Carice van Houten said at the London Film and Comic con today, before the whole Game of Thrones panel clammed up on the subject.
“I’ve seen that on the internet; like I’ve seen stuff saying ‘we’ll forgive you if you save him',” she went on, referring to the popular fan theory that Melisandre will resurrect Jon – just as fellow Red priest Thoros of Myr was shown to do for people back in series two. (And after all, she did turn up at The Wall just in time to be around for Jon's murder...)

It remains to be seen if van Houten’s comments imply this theory could be true. Either way, it might not be enough for some fans to forgive her for another of series five’s shocking moments, where Melisandre convinced wannabe King Stannis to burn his only daughter alive.

“I had so many people on Twitter telling me ‘fuck off, bitch,’” van Houten recalled. “I’ve never had so many death wishes in my life. It was so interesting to experience that. I mean, I knew it was coming – I thought, I’m not gonna get any more sympathy after this!”

Updated Moto Hint

Best Buy has begun selling what appears to be an updated Moto Hint for $129, while also marking the original listing as discontinued. Motorola is scheduled to show off some new products on July 28,  though it is not yet clear exactly what the company will announce. The Moto Hint was first announced almost a year ago, and it faced its fair share of problems and complaints since the release.

According to the Best Buy listing, the updated Moto Hint features a few changes. First up, battery life. The new listing shows 17 hours of talk time, compared to the original 10 hours, a 70 percent increase. Additionally, the listing shows Bluetooth 3.0 + EDR technology being used, as well as CrystalTalk noise- and wind-canceling technology. Finally, the design appears to be modified this time around as well, which may offer a better fit for some users.

Motorola is not yet showing this product on its website, so it is unclear if Best Buy has released it early, or what exactly happened here. Either way, you can pick up the updated Moto Hint from Best Buy for $129 right now.
