Since the exceptionally bloody end of Season 5 of Game of Thrones, the internet has been abuzz with one question: Did Jon Snow survive the brutal, multi-word-stabbing betrayal of the Night's Watch? Fan theories and rumors have been met with outright denials of the character's survival, but as so many of us know (thanks to instances like J.J. Abrams denying Benedict Cumbatch's role as Khan in Star Trek Into Darkness or Jason Momoa's constant shut-downs regarding his role as Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) even a straight-up "no" can be a decoy.
With the GoT cast pouring into Belfast over the past month, rumors of Kit Harrington showing up in town have been flying around the internet like Dany's dragons. Now, it seems that those rumors are not unfounded: definitive proof of the actor arriving in Belfast is shown in the following photo, taken by a stealthy fan.
With his hair grown out and talk of Harrington showing up to table reads several times (as opposed to once or twice), it's becoming a little hard to cover up the fact that Jon Snow may well have survived, and it's completely plausible. As hundreds of fans have already pointed out, Melisandre arrived just as the possible slaughter had begun, and the Lord of Light might well have a plan for the future of our "beloved" former Lord Commander. Plus, there's the whole potential of him warging into Ghost that's so far gone unexplored in the show.
What do you think? Definitive proof that Jon Snow lives? Or are we getting our hopes up based off of one single picture?
Game of Thrones returns next April, so it looks like we'll have a while to ponder it.
