What Is Game of Thrones’ Jack Gleeson Doing Now?

Game of Thrones' King Joffrey (Jack Gleeson) was one of the most reviled characters on TV until he dropped dead at his own wedding in Season 4. But thanks to the talents of young actor Jack Gleeson, he was the kind of villain that was fun to hate; we honestly miss the sniveling, murderous brat. We were sad to hear Jack planned on quitting acting after GOT, but the good news is that he's back at it — though you seriously will not believe his latest project.

The London Evening Standard recently caught up with Jack who has, impressively, founded his own theater company with three of his friends. Their first project? A "surreal comedy' called Bears In Space. And no, that title is not a metaphor.

One of his company’s co-creators, Eoghan Quinn, described the show as "about two bears in an intergalactic space ship who have just thawed from cryogenic stasis. It’s a journey of self-discovery for them and ultimately a story about love and friendship." Also, the bears are puppets.

Clearly this is a big departure from Game of Thrones, which is exactly how Jack wanted it. As he explained to the Standard, while he had offers after being on the hit show, "I just had a lack of desire to do a big action movie." He added, "My real interest is in creating something from the ground up.’”

The new approach is working, since the show is playing at the Soho Theatre in London. King Joffrey would be proud.
